Atambayev: Police should respect people's right to express their opinion
Almazbek Atambayev received the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country Ulan Israilov. Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.
According to it, the head of state was informed about the implementation of measures to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies, about measures to prepare police units for ensuring security during the forthcoming international events.
Regarding the various political protests in the republic, Almazbek Atambayev said that the police should respect the right of people to express their civil position, but in cases when the law is violated, it is obliged to fulfill its task of protecting public order and ensuring security.
