Approximate date of Orozo becomes known
The approximate date of Orozo start is May 27 or May 28. The State Commission for Religious Affairs informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the exact date of the beginning of the Muslim holy month Ramadan is still unknown; it will be determined closer to its beginning, depending on the location of the moon.
Orozo month (or Ramadan) is the time of fasting for the Muslims and is considered as one of the five pillars of faith (the pillars of Islam).
During fasting, the Muslims refuse food, drinking and intimacy during the daytime. Duration of the month is 29–30 days, depending on the lunar calendar. Fasting begins with the dawn and ends with the sunset.
