Deputy and journalists are among arrested participants of march

A deputy and journalists of BBC are among the arrested participants of the march in defense of freedom of speech, civil activist Azamat Attokurov who was also detained told to 24.kg news agency.

According to him, police delivered eight people to the Sverdlovsk police station. Among them is the deputy from the Ata Meken faction Kanybek Imanaliev, the BBC journalists, as well as the civil activist Mavlyan Askarbekov. «Now the interrogation has begun. Most likely, we will be accused of violating public order," Azamat Attokurov said.

Note, today Bishkek hosts a peaceful procession in defense of freedom of speech. The demonstrators planned to march to the monument to the fighters of the revolution in Ala-Too Square. The route was coordinated with the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the capital. However, individual participants moved from the sidewalk to the roadway. There was a skirmish with the police, and they were taken to the ROVD (The District Department of the Interior).
