Tekebayev’s case. Court to consider petition on house arrest on March 9
The date of court hearing on changing the measure of restraint to Ata Meken leader Omurbek Tekebayev was set. The secretariat of the political organization informed 24.kg news agency.
According to it, the issue will be considered by Bishkek City Court on March 9. Lawyers petition for house arrest.
Omurbek Tekebayev does not plead guilty and calls the criminal prosecution a political order.
Ata Meken members does not exclude that a rally in support of Tekebayev will be held near the court building on March 9.
Omurbek Tekebayev was taken into custody until April 25. He is accused of corruption and fraud.
