Health Ministry tells about “Den Sooluk" program achievements in 2012-2016
The head of the Ministry of Health Talantbek Batyraliev told the deputies of SDPK parliamentary faction about the achievements on «Den Sooluk» program for 2012–2016.
The official said that there is a tendency to a steady decrease in the overall mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases in the republic.
«This indicates that the correct strategy of work with the population was chosen," Batyraliev said.
The achievements also include the reduction of mortality among children under five years. Kyrgyzstan ranks among the countries that have achieved this Millennium Development Goal.
The maternal mortality rate in 2016 decreased compared to 2012 by 40.2 percent. The level of TB morbidity and mortality also decreased.
As for the public health sphere, health promotion services have been expanded, call center on the dangers of tobacco was created.
