Almazbek Atambayev not going to conduct revolution to retain power
President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev is not going to conduct a revolution to retain power. He stated this today at a press conference.
«Vladimir Putin has never asked me about transit of power. If someone hopes to conduct a revolution, I want to say: I will not do it. A line was drawn under the revolutions. Kyrgyzstan should be a developing country. There was a joke before: revolution has no beginning and no end. Done with it," Almazbek Atambayev said.
Vladimir Putin confirmed that they did not discuss the upcoming presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan. They will be held in accordance with the laws and the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
