Omurbek Tekebayev detained for 48 hours
Deputy of Parliament Omurbek Tekebayev was detained for 48 hours. Secretariat of Ata Meken faction said referring to lawyer of the leader.
According to the secretariat, Omurbek Tekebayev was detained within the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It clarifies that on Monday, February 27, investigation is going to apply for arrest of Omurbek Tekebayev. The decision will be made by Pervomay district court of Bishkek.
The party has already declared that they intend to hold protests against the arrest of their leader.
Omurbek Tekebayev was arrested at night at Manas airport upon his arrival from Istanbul. He is charged with fraud and corruption. His lawyer Chynara Dzhakupbekova is with him.
