Health Ministry to check activities of Bishkek Department of Health
The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan formed a commission to check the activities of the capital’s Department of Health.
According to the ministry, this is done to improve the quality of care provided by medical and preventive institutions in Bishkek, as well as because of numerous complains of the citizens.
The commission, in addition to the representatives of the ministry, includes members of the Public Supervisory Council of the Ministry of Health, Bishkek City Hall employees, City Council deputies.
Earlier, the head of the Bishkek Department of Health was accused of intimidation and blackmailing. Parliament deputies proposed to create a working commission.
The Minister of Health promised to investigate the situation.
