Prosecutor General’s Office calls Omurbek Tekebayev for questioning
Omurbek Tekebayev was called in for questioning to the Prosecutor General’s Office. The leader of Ata Meken told reporters.
According to him, the questioning will take place tomorrow, February 15. However, Omurbek Tekebayev will not go to prosecutors, explaining it by his busy schedule.
«I will take part in the conference on this day," he said.
Earlier, the member of Parliament said that he visited Cyprus where he, allegedly, found a business of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
According to Omurbek Tekebayev, there are a lot of offshore companies and he found the confirmation on the property of Atambayev there.
The head of state’s reaction was immediate. A few hours after the words of the deputy Almazbek Atambayev instructed the Prosecutor General’s Office to verify the data spread by Tekebayev in the media.
The leader of Ata Meken promised reporters to present all the evidence on the business owned by the president in Cyprus in the nearest future.
