Less than thousand Kyrgyzstanis insure property since beginning of 2017
During the first month of the year (as of February 3, 2017) State Insurance Organization has concluded 935 contracts, it reported to 24.kg news agency.
There are 28 beneficiaries among them, who are exempted from payment of contributions in full or in part.
According to the State Insurance Organization, the majority of houses insured are located in rural areas —
Insurance premium received is 716,700 soms. The total amount of liability of the State Insurance Organization is 615.5 million soms.
Totally, there are 1.1 million officially registered housing units in the republic. The law «On compulsory insurance of property against fire and natural disasters» entered into force on February 11, 2016.
Administrative liability (fines) for those who don’t insure property is not provided. Insurance in cities and towns costs 1,200 soms per year, in rural areas — 600 soms.
