Smuggling of cargo worth 3 million soms from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan prevented
An attempt to transport unaccounted cargo was prevented at the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border. The Information and Communications Department of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to information, on January 9, the driver of VOLVO truck showed border guards a consignment note for 500 empty gas cylinders at Chon-Kapka-Avtodorozhny checkpoint.
«The driver, a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, 55, tried to bring the cargo from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan, violating the rules for the movement of cargo and goods at the internal border of the EAEU,» the Border Service reported.
According to preliminary data, the average market value of 605 empty gas cylinders is about 3,025 million soms.
The detained driver and the cargo were handed over to employees of the territorial division of the State Committee for National Security for further investigation.
