Tax officers of Bazar-Korgon embezzle money collected from vendors
A corruption scheme was revealed, in which tax inspectors systematically collected money paid for licenses by entrepreneurs and market vendors in Bazaar-Korkon district, and embezzled it. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
According to it, the head of the department and two inspectors for Bazaar-Korgon district, supervising markets, were detained and placed in the pretrial detention center.
«Inspectors monthly collected money from entrepreneurs allegedly to pay for licenses and embezzled it. Thus, they caused damage to the state budget, the amount of which is being calculated at the time,» the statement says.
