Parliament changes flag, but MP Maliev insists on next changes
Deputy Arslanbek Maliev spoke about the change of the state flag today at the meeting of the Parliament. He noted that he supports the initiative. However, the flag should be blue in color.
«Yesterday, when you considered the bill on changing the flag, I was not present. I could not vote. I support your initiative. But I was talking about the blue color. Later I will make my proposal to change the color of our flag to blue,» he said.
Parliament Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev laughed.
The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan considered and passed the bill to change the flag in three readings without discussion on Wednesday. 59 deputies voted for, 5 — against.
