$900 million needed to modernize Kyrgyz Petroleum and Junda
Work is underway to attract investment for the modernization of Kyrgyz Petroleum and Junda plants. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev announced at a press conference.
According to him, the ministry and the Cabinet of Ministers provided all administrative support, including tax benefits.
Junda oil refinery has been idle since 2019. Earlier, representatives of Chinese Shanxi Coal and Chemical Industrial Corporation expressed their intention to begin the second stage of construction of Junda oil refinery. They are going to focus on deep processing of petroleum products of the European K5 standard and the production of polypropylene.
