Every day five tons of sewage water from Karakol gets into Issyk-Kul lake. Amankan Kenzhebaev, Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology and Regional Development of the Parliament, said.
According to him, treatment facilities in the city do not work, only mechanical treatment of sewage water is carried out.
«Treatment facilities are working halfway. We give sewage water for irrigation,» the Deputy Director of the Water Department replied to the deputy.
«Treatment facilities do not work, water is filtered mechanically. These 5 tons are poured into the lake, that’s our situation. For two years we have been trying to build central treatment facilities, but nothing is done so far,» the MP said and proposed to directly address the President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev.
