Kyrgyzstan simplifies certification procedure for people with disabilities
Kyrgyzstan has simplified the medical certification procedure for persons with disabilities. Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Gulnara Baatyrova announced at a press conference.
According to her, now citizens with irreversible pathologies do not need to regularly confirm their disability; they receive the disability certificate indefinitely.
«Individual rehabilitation programs will be created for these people for a period of five years, and they will be under the control of health organizations. In addition, if citizens are not able to come to the Medical and Social Expert Commission for an examination (treatment abroad, health status), they can undergo an external examination (in absentia),» she said.
Gulnara Baatyrova added that there are 27 such commissions in the ministry’s system, through which more than 50,000 people receive various services annually.
