Kanatbek Aziz relieved of his post as director of NISS
Kanatbek Aziz has been relieved of his post as Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) under the President. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state.
Kanatbek Aziz was appointed to the post of director of NISS in August 2022.
Kanatbek Aziz is a lawyer, former deputy chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Political and Legal Sciences. In October 2020, he ran for deputy of the Parliament from Mekenim Kyrgyzstan party. He was a lawyer of the ex-deputy chairman of the Customs Service Raiymbek Matraimov, and also defended the leader of Ata Meken party Omurbek Tekebayev.
