Case against Yrys Zhekshenaliev: Court acquits blogger

The state prosecution asked to sentence Yrys Zhekshenaliev to seven years in prison.
The administrator of PolitUznik account on Facebook, Yrys Zhekshenaliev, was charged with calls for active disobedience to the legal demands of government officials and mass unrest. On August 14, 2022, he was taken to the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, then detained and placed in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Bishkek. Two months later, the blogger was placed under house arrest.
Previously, the state prosecution requested six years in prison for him. Yrys Zhekshenaliev refused to plead guilty.
