4.3 billion soms to be allocated to Bishkek for purchase of buses
At least 4.3 billion soms will be allocated to Bishkek for the purchase of buses in 2024. The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to its data, 3,806 billion soms were provided for these needs in the national budget in 2023. But in March, a contract was signed on the supply of 1,000 buses by Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd for $86.5 million. Five hundred buses will be delivered by the end of this year and the same number — next year. The Ministry of Finance has already paid 4,513.8 billion soms under this contract.
The draft law «On the republican budget for 2024 and the planning period for 2025-2026» allocates 4,339.2 billion soms for the purchase of buses. At least 1,164.9 billion of the amount are customs duties.
