Rights of women, children and gender inequality discussed in Bishkek
A meeting of the Council on the Rights of Women, Children and Gender Equality was held in Bishkek.
The event was organized as part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
This year’s campaign theme is investing in prevention of violence against women and girls.
The meeting was attended by deputies of the Parliament, representatives of international organizations and civil society, the Federation of Trade Unions of the Kyrgyz Republic and employers’ organizations.
The 16-day campaign is held annually from November 25 to December 10.
