Three deputy chiefs of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region have been relieved of their positions. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Earlier, information about a fight that occurred on November 23 near one of the apartment buildings in Osh with the participation of the heads of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region appeared on social media. This fact was registered, and an investigation has begun.

An investigative team and employees of the internal investigations department visited the scene of the incident. The scene of the incident was inspected. Samples of brown stains resembling blood and recordings from CCTV cameras were seized as evidence.

«Forensic medical examinations have been ordered in relation to the heads of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region involved in the incident, and special instructions have been sent to the relevant services to identify all participants in the incident, as well as to ensure their appearance at the investigation service for questioning. Based on the results of the investigation, strict disciplinary measures were taken in accordance with the disciplinary charter of law enforcement agencies. Based on the results of an inspection by the Internal Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the head of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region, police colonel Zhenish Zhorobekov, received a «service incompetence note,» the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

In addition, the deputy chiefs of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region for operational work, police colonel Almaz Usenaliev, for public security, police colonel Salmoorbek Sheraliev, and for personnel, police colonel Ulan Asanbaev were fired.

«All collected materials will be sent to the relevant authorities for a legal assessment. The Internal Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to work to purge its ranks of the staff undermining the authority of the police,» the statement says.
