6.3 million bank cards used in Kyrgyzstan
At the end of the third quarter of 2023, the total number of bank payment cards in circulation amounted to 6,344.1 million. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan provided the data.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of cards increased by 36.1 percent, and compared to the beginning of 2023 — by 21.2 percent.
They include 3,220.1 million cards of Elcard national system (50.8 percent), 2,956.9 million cards of VISA system (46.61 percent), 52,500 — Mastercard, 93,100 — Zolotaya Korona and 21,300 — Union Pay.
