President of Kyrgyzstan meets with head of JICA
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the head of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Akihiko Tanaka in Tokyo. The press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov proposed JICA to consider issues of financing projects in the field of renewable energy sources, as well as study the issue of implementation of large infrastructure projects in the field of transport and communications that would have a positive multiplier effect.
In turn, Akihiko Tanaka noted that JICA pays special attention to partnership with Kyrgyzstan and intends to focus on those projects in Kyrgyzstan that are aimed at developing the economy and agriculture, energy industry and increasing tourism, export potential, as well as developing road-transport infrastructure in the republic. He confirmed his readiness to continue cooperation in priority areas and effectively implement joint projects.
