Congestion of trucks observed at Kyrgyzstan - Kazakhstan border
A congestion of vehicles and cargoes is observed at Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhny checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
As of 11 a.m. on November 20, 2023, about 500 trucks are standing in line to pass border control in front of Ak-Tilek-Avtodorozhny checkpoint.
Over the past day, 280 vehicles left Kyrgyzstan for Kazakhstan.
«The congestion of cargo vehicles at the checkpoint is seasonal and is associated with an increase in the export of agricultural products, consumer goods from Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, cargo vehicles with animals and perishable products cross the checkpoint out of turn. There are no restrictions for cargo vehicles on the part of border services of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. All checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border are functioning as usual,» the statement says.
