Fellow soldier kills guard and escapes in Kara-Kul
An accident occurred in a military unit of the Interior Ministry’s internal troops stationed in Kara-Kul town this morning. According to preliminary data, a fellow soldier shot a junior sergeant, who died from the wound.
The law enforcement agency confirmed the information about the incident, noting that details will be provided later.
It is known that both servicemen were on guard duty at the motor base of the cascade of Toktogul hydroelectric power plants. At about 6.00 a.m., the man, 21, shot junior sergeant, 20, with an automatic rifle. He then left the post and fled with the weapon. The serviceman’s body was found by eyewitnesses. He died of the wound.
Search for the soldier is underway.
