Sadyr Japarov invites Japanese JBIC bank to cooperate in green energy sector
During his official visit to Tokyo (Japan), President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Nobumitsu Hayashi. The press service of the head of state reported.
The main purpose of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation is to develop economic partnerships between Japan and foreign countries by providing resources for investment abroad and facilitating international trade. The bank plays an important role in the development of Japanese exports and imports and the country’s activities abroad. The financial institution is fully funded by the Japanese government.
Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan is committed to further strengthening interaction with Japan in all areas, including attracting such reputable financial institutions as JBIC.
He stressed that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to creating favorable conditions for the activities of Japanese companies and the development of direct investment between the business circles of the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan. He noted that the active dynamics of bilateral contacts gives great optimism to the prospects for further cooperation with Japanese partners. Kyrgyzstan welcomes such examples of successful partnerships in the banking sector.
In addition, the president proposed considering cooperation in the field of green energy and infrastructure.
In turn, Nobumitsu Hayashi briefly told about the activities of the financial institution and expressed his readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and in the implementation of specific projects. He also noted that in order to implement the agreements, the JBIC team is ready to come to Kyrgyzstan for a detailed study of the needs of the republic.
