Head coach of the national football team of Kyrgyzstan Stefan Tarkovic commented on yesterday’s match with the team of Malaysia within the qualifying games for the World Cup. The Kyrgyz Football Union reported on social media.

The match ended with a score 4-3 in favor of the opponent.

«I am very disappointed with the outcome of the match. We scored three goals and created scoring chances at the opponent’s goal, but because of mistakes in defense we conceded more goals. It is very disappointing that after so many goals we are left without points. We could have converted more chances in this match,» the coach said.

We were physically and tactically well prepared for this game. I believe that our team created more promising attacks than our opponents. But, unfortunately, we failed in the end.

He added that in the first 55 minutes the Kyrgyz players were a little passive and did not put pressure on the opponent, but then they managed to concentrate. «Then the substitutions became decisive; we were forced to replace the goalkeeper and several players, after which this outcome followed,» the coach noted.

According to him, the team will play at home against the Oman national team.

«We need to analyze the match, take stock and try to forget about the defeat as quickly as possible, and also start preparing for the next game. The players work very hard, but individual mistakes end up leaving us with nothing. But I think that the support of the fans and home stands in the upcoming match will give us more strength and confidence,» Stefan Tarkovic said.

The Kyrgyz team is in Group D, which also includes Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and Oman.

A home match against the national team of Oman will take place on November 21. Tickets for the match to be held on the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium are already on sale.
