Kyrgyzstani detained for illegal transportation of foreigners across border
Activities of a stable group of people systematically engaged in the illegal transportation of foreigners across the border of Kyrgyzstan into Kazakhstan have been suppressed. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
According to it, four citizens of Pakistan and a Kyrgyzstani, who are the organizers of the stable illegal migration channel, were detained on October 29 while attempting to illegally cross the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, during the operational investigative activities, additional participants of the illegal migration channel were identified — three citizens of Pakistan who arrived in Kyrgyzstan as tourists. They were also detained.
The organizers received up to $1,700 for transporting citizens of Pakistan to the Kyrgyz Republic.
A criminal case was opened against three citizens of Pakistan on the grounds of a crime under Article 378 «Illegal crossing of the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. As for the organizers, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 168 «Organization of illegal migration, illegal smuggling of migrants» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
By decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court, seven citizens of Pakistan were placed in the pre-trial detention center 1 for two months.
Active search measures are being carried out to identify and detain other persons involved in this illegal migration channel.
