Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to resolve border issues before new year
Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to resolve border issues before the new year. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, announced at the National Poverty and Inequality Development Forum.
He recalled that the delimitation of the border with Uzbekistan was fully completed this year.
«We are working on the tasks of the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, so that before the new year we could report that border issues have been resolved,» Akylbek Japarov said.
In October the heads of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan signed a protocol on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. According to Kamchybek Tashiev, the document was signed by agreement of the two parties and provides a basis for resolving all border issues.
