Dollar exchange rate grows by 4.25 percent since beginning of 2023 in Kyrgyzstan
From the beginning of the year to October 30, the official dollar exchange rate in Kyrgyzstan increased by 4.25 percent and reached 89.32 soms. Official representative of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Aida Karabaeva announced at a press conference.
According to her, to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the exchange rate, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted 14 interventions to sell the dollar for $655.7 million.
«Currently there is enough cash and non-cash currency in the banking sector. The situation on the foreign exchange market remains relatively stable,» Aida Karabaeva noted.
