New UAVs of Border Service demonstrated to President of Kyrgyzstan

The President of Kyrgyzstan got acquainted with the UAV base of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security, which has received the latest Akinci and Aksungur UAVs.

Sadyr Japarov was shown the infrastructure of the base and the organization of combat duty of unmanned aerial vehicles to protect the state border.

He noted that for the first time in the country’s history, high-altitude Akinci and Aksungur UAVs were purchased for the Border Service at the expense of the republican budget. He stressed that modern, high-tech UAVs, military service equipment and equipment used at the base would make a great contribution to ensuring the country’s security.

The head of state awarded the general director of Baykar Defense, Bayraktar Haluk, with the state award of the Kyrgyz Republic — the Dank Order.

Baykar is a Turkish aircraft manufacturing company founded in 1984 by entrepreneur Ozdemir Bayraktar. Since 2000 it has been working in the field of aircraft manufacturing, in particular in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In the fall of 2022, the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, published a photo on his Facebook page next to Bayraktar Akinci unmanned aerial vehicle. He signed the photos: «Akinci is ours. Thanks to the brotherly people.»

Earlier, Turkish media reported that the contract for the supply of anti-drone iHTAR system was signed by the Kyrgyz authorities with the Turkish ASELSAN defense industry corporation.
