Smuggled goods seized near border with Tajikistan
A significant amount of consumer goods and medicines without accompanying documents was discovered and seized in the warehouses of Kyrgyzstan retail outlet, located on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border near Khujand — Zhashtyk — Kanibadam road. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, over 16,000 boxes of medicines, 19 tons of sugar, 9 tons of chicken meat, and more than 18,000 bottles of alcohol and energy drinks were seized.
«An interdepartmental group is calculating the cost of the detained goods and taking measures to establish all the circumstances of the case in order to initiate a criminal case,» the state committee added.
