Kyrgyzstan supports UN resolution calling for truce in the Middle East
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling for an immediate truce in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. UN News reported on X social media platform.
At least 120 countries voted for the initiative, other 14 opposed it. 45 representatives abstained. Kyrgyzstan supported the resolution.
The document says that the UN General Assembly condemns violence against Palestinian and Israeli civilians. It calls for an immediate humanitarian truce leading to a cessation of hostilities. The resolution was developed by a group of Arab countries.
