Major repairs of canal in Novopokrovka to increase productivity 2.5 times
Major repairs of an inter-farm canal P4 with a length of 1,700 meters has started in Novopokrovka village, Issyk-Ata district, Chui region. It is fed from the Western Big Chui Canal.
Irrigation of 780 hectares of land depends on the canal. Both small farms and large organizations, such as a seed farm, receive water from it.
The cost of repairing the facility is 8,880 million soms.
Previously, the canal’s bed was unpaved and constantly silted up. Now it is being filled with concrete. This will allow to operate the canal for 40-50 years, minimize water losses.
