Fight against organized crime: Two crime bosses arrested by court order
The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek chose a preventive measure for the so-called ‘enforcer’ in the city of Osh, Almaz Ermekbaev, and a crime lord from Naryn region, Nurlan Omokeyev, in the form of arrest and detention in a pre-trial detention center. Both were placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until December 4.
Almaz Ermekbaev and Nurlan Omokeyev were previously detained by security services. Their video messages were posted on the Internet, where both stated that they had nothing to do with crime. They also promised to support the current government and not violate the laws of the country.
The crime kingpin Sakal (Ulan Toktosunov) renounced his thief’s status. His video message was posted on social media.
Then a crime boss Kadyrbek Dosonov, known as Dzhengo, publicly renounced his thief’s status.
Another member of Kamchi Kolbaev’s criminal group—security guard of the crime boss Ulan Barchakeyev, nicknamed Uzun — continued this kind of «flash mob».
