Forum of rectors of universities of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan starts in Osh city
The first forum of rectors of higher education institutions of the two countries has started at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
According to its data, the forum is attended by about 70 rectors of universities and representatives of educational organizations of the two states.
«The work of the forum is aimed at the development of cooperation between higher education institutions of neighboring countries and the implementation of joint scientific projects,» the Ministry of Education said.
The ministry added that during the event a monument to Batyraly Sydykov, whose name was given to the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, was unveiled.
