Mega sale auction postponed
The auction for the sale of Alfa Telecom CJSC will be held on October 11. The State Agency for State Property Management reported.
On July 4, the agency published an information message regarding the electronic auction for the sale of 100 percent of the state block of shares of Alfa Telecom CJSC on its official website. The electronic auction was scheduled for October 2.
As of September 29, no applications for participation in the e-auction had been received.
«In accordance with the requirement of the law on privatization of state property in the Kyrgyz Republic, the interdepartmental commission on privatization of 100 percent of the state block of shares of Alfa Telecom CJSC, having discussed and exchanged views, unanimously decided to extend the deadline for accepting electronic applications for participation in the electronic auction until October 11,» the message says.
The starting value of the state block of shares of Alfa Telecom CJSC is 14,600 billion soms ($167.2 million at the official exchange rate as of July 4).
