Arrest of owner of webcam studios Daniel Azhiev was extended for two more months. The Pervomaisky District Court informed 24.kg news agency.
Daniel Azhiev will be kept in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security until November 29.
The man was detained on June 5 for organizing a transnational network of webcam studios.
In 2020, Daniel Azhiev was accused of inciting ethnic hatred. However, he was later declared insane.
He became known in the country due to a scandal. He distributed humanitarian aid among the poor after the authorities declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic. Social media users criticized him. After that, the organizer of the webcam studio posted a video where he insulted the Kyrgyzstanis.
