June events: Separatist leaders detained in Suzak
Leaders of separatist groups of Suzak district, who organized mass riots in June 2010, including the murder of a resident of Jalal-Abad, have been detained. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
According to its data, 43-year-old, 51-year-old, 62-year-old, 58-year-old, 65-year-old and 52-year-old men were detained.
«They, being leaders of separatist groups in Suzak district, called for mass riots, blocked roads, set up roadblocks, and attacked civilians trying to leave separatist-controlled areas. One of the detainees was involved in the murder with particular cruelty of a resident of Jalal-Abad. The crime was committed at one of the roadblocks. As part of the resumed criminal case, the detainees were taken to the pre-trial detention center,» the SCNS informed.
