Ombudsman of Turkey expected to visit Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan’s Ombudsperson Jamilya Jamanbayeva and Turkey’s Chief Ombudsman Şeref Malkoç held talks via video-conference. Press service of the Institute of Ombudsman reports.
The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the field of protecting the rights of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey and planned a number of joint activities in the field of labor migration, economic and civil rights of citizens of the two countries.
Human rights activists agreed on the official visit of Şeref Malkoç to Bishkek in early September.
It should be noted that the Association of Ombudsmen and National Human Rights Institutions of Turkic States was established in the city of Bursa on May 12, 2022. Şeref Malkoç invited Jamilya Jamanbayeva to participate in the next meeting of another association — Ombudsmen of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
