Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan meets with Roza Otunbayeva
Foreign Affairs Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan Rosa Otunbayeva. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The parties discussed the UN activities in Afghanistan and exchanged views on providing multilateral assistance to the mission in the successful fulfillment of its mandate in Afghanistan.
Jeenbek Kulubaev noted that Kyrgyzstan fully supports the activities of the UN mission in Afghanistan and the active efforts of Roza Otunbayeva to provide socio-humanitarian and other necessary support to the country.
Kyrgyzstan supports sustainable development and long-term stability in Afghanistan, actively participates in relevant regional and international initiatives and provides humanitarian aid to the friendly people, he said.
Roza Otunbayeva told about the activities of the mission and appreciated the efforts of the Kyrgyz side to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people in the current difficult socio-economic and humanitarian situation in the country.
