Dog bites eight people in Kyzyl-Kiya town
A dog bit eight people in Kyzyl-Kiya town. The victims were hospitalized. Press service of the Ministry of Health reported with reference to the Republican Center of Quarantine and Especially Dangerous Infections.
According to its data, the dog was found and killed. The veterinary laboratory of Batken city received pathological material (the dog’s brain) for further study. The dog also bit cattle, which is under 10-day observation.
All the victims were hospitalized in the trauma department of the Medical Aid Center, where they were prescribed antirabic immunoglobulin and a course of antirabic vaccine.
Anti-epidemic and anti-epizootic measures continue to prevent the spread of infection.
