COVID-19: Hybrid strain of coronavirus discovered in Vietnam
The Ministry of Health of Vietnam announced emergence of a new variant of coronavirus with features of the existing British and Indian strains. RIA Novosti reported with reference to VnExpress.
According to preliminary data, the hybrid strain is more infectious and easily transmitted by air. The new strain has not been named yet.
The Ministry of Health of the country reported that the number of new cases of COVID-19 has increased due to its emergence.
