People are gathering on both sides of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in Kok-Tash village, Batken district of Kyrgyzstan. Local residents informed 24.kg news agency.
According to them, the military of the two states are holding back the local residents.
«About 100-200 citizens of Tajikistan are standing on our territory in the middle of the road. People are also gathering on our side. Isfana — Osh road is still open,» the villagers said.
Recall, Tajik side intended to install a fence in disputed area on December 16, which caused a skirmish between local residents. After negotiations, it was decided to remove the fence. Several residents of Kok-Tash village in Batken district were beaten yesterday. But according to the Border Service, there are no injured and victims of the conflict.
