Azimbek Beknazarov runs for Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia
Ex-Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Azimbek Beknazarov runs for an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia. The Committee on International Affairs of the Parliament received documents for approval of his candidacy. The Parliament informed 24.kg news agency.
Documents of the candidate and characterization of Azimbek Beknazarov will be considered at the next meeting. Azimbek Beknazarov himself has not yet commented on his appointment. He previously claimed that he did not intend to be an ambassador.
A scandal erupted earlier at the diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia. Former ambassador Kylychbek Sultan stated about corruption. The Security Council accused Kylychbek Sultan himself of violations.
