Inflation rate to reach 3.5 percent by the end of 2019 in Kyrgyzstan
By the end of 2019, inflation rate in Kyrgyzstan is expected to reach about 3.5 percent. This forecast was made by the National Bank of the country.
An average annual inflation rate will be not higher than 1.5 percent. At the same time, the National Bank predicts a gradual approach of inflation to the medium-term target of 5-7 percent in case of absence of internal and external shocks.
«Assumptions about maintaining of the emerging growth trend of the economies of Kyrgyzstan’s trading partners in 2020-2021, relative price stability on the world commodity markets in the medium term and estimates of the development of domestic conditions allow us to expect inflation in the Kyrgyz Republic in the medium term within the target of the monetary policy of 5-7 percent,» the National Bank said.
