Tax officer extorts 20,000 soms from businessman in Bishkek
An employee of the Department of the State Tax Service for Bishkek was detained by the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan. Press center of the State Committee reported.
The Tax Service employee was caught red-handed while receiving a bribe of 20,000 soms.
«The detainee extorted money from a private entrepreneur for patronage and resolving tax issues. The fact was registered under the article «Extortion of a bribe» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The court chose for him a preventive measure in form of house arrest,» the SCNS informed.
