Bank robbery in Bishkek. Criminals steal over 1 million soms
Unknown persons robbed a branch of EkoIslamicBank in Bishkek. Own sources informed 24.kg news agency.
According to preliminary data, the police received a call today at 9.17. Operational investigation team came to the scene.
«It turned out that two unknown people broke into the bank’s premises, beat a security guard and stole more than a million soms from there,» the sources said.
The Department of Internal Affairs for Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek confirmed the information.
The fact was registered under the Article «Robbery» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«Investigative measures are being taken to identify the suspects and detain them. The exact amount of the stolen money is calculated,» the police department said.
