Detained with bribe police colonel hits woman trying to flee
Head of the Department for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking was detained in Bishkek. The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.
On November 7, a citizen applied to the Anti-Corruption Service of the SCNS. She asked to take measures against an officer of the Department for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking for Bishkek. He extorted a bribe of $ 3,000 from her for a positive decision within a criminal case against her husband.
"On the basis of the collected materials, the State Investigation Service of SCNS initiated a criminal case under the Article »Extortion of a bribe.” On November 23, the head of the Department for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police colonel N.B. was caught red-handed when taking 50,000. He attempted to flee from the scene of the crime and hit the applicant. The suspect was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the pre-trial detention center of SCNS,” the special services said.
The SCNS noted that a team of ambulance doctors hospitalized the applicant, her condition is assessed as stable.
