Security Council: Law enforcement bodies to hear Raiymbek Matraimov
An interdepartmental commission, established to study the facts voiced in a journalistic investigation of Azattyk, Kloop and OCCRP, will hear the former deputy chairman of the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan Raimbek Matraimov. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Damir Sagynbaev told at a press conference.
According to him, Raiymbek Matraimov will be invited to investigative events.
"He is not under investigation, therefore his movements are not limited. But, according to my information, he is in the country,” Damir Sagynbaev said.
Damir Sagynbaev could not explain why the check of the property of Raiymbek Matraimov has lasted more than a year.
"I can’t say for sure about the checks, but at the end, either the Security Council or a relevant body will provide information,” he said.
